A 17 year old boy from Kawama Compound in Kitwe is currently at large after allegedly defiling a two year old girl.

Copperbelt Police commanding officer Pathias Siandenge confirmed the incident stating the suspect is reportedly the son of the victim’s neighbour.
The incident came to light when the victim’s mother, who was washing clothes at her home, was alerted by her neighbour’s maid, only identified as Musonda yesterday.
According to Siandenge, the maid called the mother to witness what was happening at their residence.
Upon rushing to the neighbour’s house, the mother encountered her daughter emerging from behind the house, limping and being followed by the juvenile suspect.
The child was unable to articulate what had occurred. However, a subsequent check by the mother revealed a white substance, suspected to be semen, on the child’s private parts.
At that moment, the suspect fled the scene.
The mother promptly reported the matter to the police for intervention.
Siandenge said efforts to apprehend the suspect are underway.
