Police nab Matero gang leader, ‘Black Fish’ amidst assault chaos

BA KAPOKOLA! A loud shout alerted a crowd near Matero’s Shadrecks’s area as people scampered like cockroaches after turning on the lights of a dark room.

A race was ignited as officers took to their heals running after a 28 year old man who had left a man’s forehead protruding more than the usual after an encounter with his fists.

Running as if the Olympic qualifications depended on them, the officers caught up with the assailants who was identified as Black Fish.

A new breath of fresh air finally reached the areas as the dogs barked in unison as if in praise of the heroism exhibited by the cops who had gotten rid of a nuisance in the community.

According to reports, the assailant, whose real name is Gift Banda is a notorious gang leader causing mayhem in that area.

Powered by marijuana, Banda paused business in Matero as he caused traffic for motor vehicles around Shadrecks traffic lights area with the crowd he pulled to watch him mercilessly unleash punches on a 33 year old man whose identity was not disclosed.

Luckily for the victim, police officers were just around the block patrolling the place as he was being beaten.

Alerted by the noise and chaos which was near Shadrecks bridge, the officers immediately rushed to the scene and witnessed Banda assaulting the victim which led to the chase and eventual apprehension.

“He was found with undisclosed amount of marijuana on him,” Police deputy spokesperson Danny Mwale said while confirming his arrest.

“The victim was rushed to the Hospital where he is currently admitted while the suspect is detained in custody waiting to be formally charged.”

Authorities are yet to establish the reason behind the assault incident.
