A SEARCH for missing farmer James Mutale has ended tragically after his body was discovered in the bush near his Chibaye village farm on April 24, 2024.

The 85-year-old Mutale, who lived alone on his property, was first reported missing to police on April 16, following his disappearance on April 8 at around 8:00 hours.
A passerby found Mutale’s remains in a decomposed state, raising concerns about the cause of death.
Police have opened an inquiry file to investigate the circumstances surrounding his disappearance and ultimate demise.
“Relatives were encouraged to bury the remains and mark the grave for possible postmortem examination,” police deputy spokesperson Danny Mwale said while confirming the incident in a statement.
