WITH Cholera all but gone, thanks to the efforts of the Sylvia Masebo-led Ministry of Health, some residents of Lusaka have began channelling their energies back to the activities they know best – adultery.

Loud screams of “hule, hule, hule!” echoed throughout the load shedded evening of Lusaka’s Garden Compound as some unscripted and thrilling real life drama involving a cheating husband who had been caught pants down illegally harvesting sweetness from his wife’s best friend, unfolded right before their eyes.

Details of the komboni sexual scandal are that; 28-year-old Ruth Mowa, returned home with groceries, ready to nurture her family only to find a scene that ripped apart her world.

Her 35 year-old husband, Lameck Mowa was locked in a romantic embrace with her childhood bestie.

Like a farmer trying to save his crops from the devastating effects of the drought, the man was found irrigating the insides of his wife’s bestie with ferocious determination.

Ruth had been away visiting her mother when she decided to cut short her visitation to return home unannounced.

On her way home, Ruth had even purchased some food items at the local Kanele market which she would use to prepare her evening meal for her husband and six year old daughter

As Ruth arrived around 20:00 hours, she arrived to heartbreaking scene of infidelity right on her matrimonial bed.

Like a lioness savaging a predator encroaching on her den, Ruth attacked.

Searing slaps rained down on Ruth’s friend as sounds of “hule” echoed in repetition, and a black eye germinated on her friend’s face.

Children and adults alike gathered at the hub of the scene to witness the butt naked home invader who was completely undressed being tossed to and from by the Ruth before being rescued by sympathetic spectators.

In the meantime, the husband, like a coward in the face of danger, fled the scene, leaving his wife and shattered vows in his wake.

Ruth narrated that she had been hearing rumours about the affair but decided to give them a deaf ear.

“This is not the first time, my friends warned me about my friend whom I have helped many times.” she said in between breaths “When my husband gives me money, I would buy things for my home and buy some house items for her as well not knowing she was after destroying my marriage”.

The devastated house wife packed her katundu leaving her daughter behind.

“They (husband and lover) will raise this child together. I will not continue to suffer over this man. If he wants, his child can become a street kid for all I care. I already lost one child why should I care about this one?”

“My friend has taught me a lesson. Don’t blame me when I start going after other women’s husbands.”
