Edmond Miti receives nutritional assurance

AS youthful Lusaka-based political consultant and activist Edmond Miti readies himself for marriage life next weekend, he got the most resounding assurance that once married, he will neither suffer malnutrition nor eat tasteless food.

With only a week to go before exchanging marital vows, the wife-to-be and her people have won the love of Edmond’s kin and kieth using top notch cooking skills that ensured sumptuous treat locally known as Chilangamulilo.

As the pre-nuptial ceremony got underway, Edmond knew he had to look impressive and achieve this, the Western Province part of him got him donned in an stunning traditional Musisi which gave him pleasing look of lozi royalty.

Other guests outfit also had a touch of Ngoni tradition headgear representing groom’s father roots.

Bembas, who are also traditional cousins to Edmond also refused to stay away from traditional prenuptial ceremony that took place at Edmand’s auntie Inonge Mutukwa residence in Ibex, Lusaka.

A buffet of mouthwatering Zambian cuisines was delivered by the drumming and singing family of the bride, Nasanta Lwandamina.

Being a lover of edibles with a never failing appetite, it was no surprise that Edmond’s face radiated with a smile that grew from strength to strength as the bride’s people arrived with luncheon atop their heads.

As the traditional rituals were going on, Edmond’s friends and families rained the ceremony with enough kwacha notes that would have helped to pay bondholders in the debt restructuring deal Zambia has achieved.

After the formalities of presenting the food to the groom, Edmond led his guests to the feast.

The day had been a beautiful treat of delicious food in an atmosphere punctuated by traditions cousinship of the Ngoni, Lozi, Bemba, Tonga and Kaondes among others.

Technology and Science Minister Felix Mutati’s wife and Information and Media permanent secretary Thabo Kawana were part of the attendees to witness that Edmond receives the right traditional counsel.
