DECEMBER 10, 2024, has been set as the judgment day by the Constitutional Court in the case of determining former President Edgar Lungu’s eligibility.
The set day of judgement was pounced by the court today as Lungu and his lawyers appeared before the Constitutional Court for hearing of his eligibility.
During today’s hearing, renowned lawyer John Sangwa also excused himself from Edgar Lungu’s eligibility case after the court informed him that it will rely solely on his written submissions as amicus curiae, without granting oral argument time.
This was after he made an application to join the case as a friend of the court.
