Zambia’s Minister of Mines and Mineral Development Paul Kabuswe, has welcomed a delegation from Saudi Arabia as discussions on potential investments in the country’s mining sector get underway.

These high-level talks come just ahead of the official opening of the Zambia Mining and Investment Insaka, taking place today, with President Hakainde Hichilema expected to officiate.

The discussions mark a significant step in Zambia’s efforts to strengthen its global mining partnerships, with the government looking to attract foreign investment to boost the sector.

The Insaka, which runs from October 7 to 11 under the theme “Mining beyond copper; Celebrating 100 years of mining in Zambia” aims to explore opportunities beyond Zambia’s traditional mineral resources as the country seeks to diversify its mining portfolio and expand its economic base.
