CHIPOLOPOLO striker Fashion Sakala has pledged K700,000 for the Fashion Sakala Provincial Cup to be held in Eastern province.
Sakala revealed that the mission of this cup is to provide and support skills and motivation to all football talents in Eastern province.
He disclosed that this will ensure that no one ever gives up on their dreams of reaching professional football level.
Fashion Sakala Provincial Cup will be one of the biggest tournaments in the country which will played in Eastern Province, consisting of 54 teams.
The final will be held on the June 15, 2024 at the DK Stadium in Chipata.
The mission for this cup is to provide support, skills and motivation to all the football talents in the Eastern province, to ensure that they never give up on their dreams of reaching professional football level.
“I also intend to support the Eastern province football clubs to further encourage them to continue their great work of identifying, nurturing and developing these talents.”
“Football is one of the most popular sport in Zambia and it has shown to unite different people, different cultures and languages, I can affirm that Football has a proven record of changing a lot of people’s lives, including my own life.
In a Facebook post monitored by Kalemba, Sakala vowed to always support football initiatives intended to develop the youth by providing them with life changing opportunities.
The cup will consist of awards which will be given to best player, top goal scorer, best defender, best goalkeeper, best young player, best coach and best referee.
