It’s always darkest before dawn, give Hichilema a chance – Liswaniso

UPND National Youth Chairperson Gilbert Liswaniso has urged Zambians to not lose hope in President Hakainde Hichilema stating that it’s darkest before dawn.

In a Facebook post, Liswaniso stated that when faced with difficulties, it is misguided to assume that changing government is the most effective solution as research has shown that frequent change of governments often yield similar results.

He said the most viable solution to the current problems that the country is facing is to cultivate endurance, resilience, responsibility, strategic thinking and innovation complemented by a paradigm shift.

The youth leader added that President Hichilema meant well for Zambians as he was deeply concerned about the challenges that the country was facing and a solution was underway.

“President Hakainde Hichilema is a leader who empathises with the suffering of the Zambian people and is committed to finding solutions.”

“The concerns, complaints, and cries of citizens are too great for the president and his administration to ignore, and I can assure you that, as a nation, we are headed in the right direction, with the right leadership and vision,” he said.

Liswaniso added that Africa’s underdevelopment can be attributed to the pervasive mindset among Africans which has been conditioned to seek change of government whenever minor and solvable challenges arise.

He said development, innovation and progress were not instant and they required a unified purpose, diligence, endurance, resilience and an unwavering belief in a better future.
