FORMER Local Government minister Gary Nkombo has gone the Inzuf Inzuf route, except he said it in correct English, taking action against those peddling rumours online that he wants the top position in the UPND.

Nkombo lodged a complaint at Zambia Police Headquarters in Lusaka over online allegations that he intends to challenge President Hakainde Hichilema for the UPND party leadership.
The Mazabuka Central member of parliament said he had no intentions to leave the party as he is a bonafide member of the UPND.
He said he has never indicated to anyone that he wanted to challenge Hichilema at the convention this year.
Nkombo said he has lodged a complaint so that the police help him investigate the matter.
“The Zambia Police have commenced investigations to find out who the culprits to the publication are, we have given out much information we had to the police to finding the individuals on these chat platforms who are torturing me on social cyber space,” he said.
He said he trusts the police for the good job in finding the individual behind the story.
“Names may be flying around, you know who first generated this story, enough is enough, my silence has not been helpful.”
“I want to indicate firmly that I am a bonafide member of the UPND with no intentions to walk away from the party I was building. Those intensions have not been there and they will not be there, not even in future,” he said.
Nkombo stated that the law will deal with any individual behind the allegation.
He assured members of the ruling party who might be disturbed that he will remain a solid member of the party.
Nkombo further urged the opposition to fight their battles without including him.
“I read an article which Miles Sampa wrote, I will not tolerate that, he is my friend but must desist from doing that, otherwise we are going to use the law,” warned Nkombo.
