A RENOWNED marriage counselor, Emmanuel Mukula has advised ladies who still have the last born mentality not to place themselves on the market for marriage.
Mukula said that marriage is a serious union that requires respect, seriousness and maturity about everything.
He noted that most ladies most ladies rush into marriage without fully understanding what is expected of them in that union, a situation he described as unfortunate.
” Bakashana, in marriage there is nothing like I am the last born where I come from. There is nothing like that. You have to grow up,” he said.
Mukula said what is expected in marriage is responsibility, and not excuses and that the earlier some ladies realize this fact, the better.
He said whether last born or not, ladies need to be responsible and take ownership, be accountable and be submissive to their husbands.
“‘ When you get into marriage, you become a wife, a mother and nothing else so you need to adapt and behave like one,” Mukula said.
The counselor stated that marriage is not a playground and respect is not supposed to be optional.
He said that marriage is not what one is always ready for as it demands maturity, discipline, and emotional control, not just feelings.
“If you are not ready to grow up and respect your husband, stay where you are until you grow into a responsible person,” he added.
