A LUSAKA driver has revealed the reason he ate from the same plate as his boss’ was because he felt pity for his wife, whom he could not satisfy during adult gymnastics at night.

Nicholas Mwansa aged 36 of Garden House claimed that he felt pity for his ex boss wife’s unfulfilled sexual need which drove him to engage in an affair with her to prevent from going elsewhere.

Mwansa was accused of sleeping with 44-years-old Sunday Mwamba’s wife since 2020, having his own share of the apple in the garden of Eden.

During court hearing at Matero Local Court, Mwamba stated that he hired Mwansa as his driver but instead of driving a car, Mwansa also took up extra curricular activities of riding his wife behind.

Mwamba also suspected that his wife’s younger child might have been fathered by Mwansa.

“I started noticing changes in my wife’s behaviour because she became increasingly disrespectful towards me, and one day she said, ‘Mwikatukotesha, nikali musikana (don’t make me old, am still young),” Mwamba recounted.

“Initially, I was blinded by love and trust but eventually I started noticing subtle signs that something was amiss. Whenever my wife came across Mwanza’s picture on Facebook after he started working for a security company, she would become noticeably excited, enticed by his appearance. She would comment on how nice he looked which was a stark contrast to her behaviour towards me.”

Mwamba told the court that wife even became #Kalemba sharing updates, not on ordinary news but on Mwansa’s life.

“She was informing me about his recent purchase of land and loan to construct a house. She insisted that I should take a page from his book and work harder, making me feel inadequate in comparison to my rival.”

But faced with a courtroom filled with shock and judgment, Mwansa sought to explain his actions revealing that he had slept with Mwamba’s wife out of pity because the husband was not taking her to cloud nine, and of course, as a good Samaritan with the right tools, he recalled that it was more blessed to Give than receive.

“She confided in me that her lack of sexual satisfaction had pushed her to the brink of considering prostitution. So, I felt compelled to sleep with her once to prevent her from resorting to such an extreme measure. It was a mistake, but I genuinely thought I was helping her in the moment,” he said.

And 36-year-old Memory Makabanika, wife to Mwamba admitted in court that she only had a one night stand with Mwansa but there is no relationship between them.

Meanwhile, in an attempt to determine the child’s true paternity, Magistrate Harriet Mulenga sought to compare the physical features of both Mwamba and Mwansa with the child in question using her eyes but failed and surrendered it to Science.

Magistrate Mulenga ordered Mwamba, Mwansa and Makabanika to undergo DNA testing at Levy Mwanawasa Hospital in order to conclusively determine the paternity of the child.

“I am not a medical doctor so let the science help us in this matter to determine who the biological father is.”

“This case has been adjourned to 16th May, 2025. I direct you to submit the results of the DNA test to the court in preparation for a final judgment,” ordered Magistrate Mulenga.
