Zambia’s government is taking a step towards a greener future by transitioning to electric vehicles.

The Disaster Management and Mitigation Unit (DMMU) national coordinator Gabriel Pollen, recently shared his admiration for the ORA electric car, highlighting its affordability and range.

“GRZ goes electric. Spent a few seconds admiring the ORA electric car. With a single 5-hour charge costing about K100, yet giving you around 300km, it seems ideal for daily city commute,” Pollen wrote on Facebook.

This shift towards electric vehicles aligns with the global movement to combat climate change and reduce reliance on fossil fuels.

The government’s adoption of electric cars is expected to set an example for the private sector and the public, promoting the use of clean and sustainable transportation options.
