AFTER a thousand nights of sleeping alone and rolling from end-to-end of his makeshift bed with no warm body to cling to, a man of Sinda’s attempt to return to his wife of 5 years ago ended in bloodshed.

Joseph Miti,32 after drinking a 2.5 litres of mutoto afrodisiac and a plateful of groundnuts remembered the good nights he had spent half-a-decade ago with his former wife Catherine Phiri

With his loins as stiff as a pistol, Phiri marched to his ex-wife’s house to beg for just even one ‘encounter’ for old times sake on his former bed.

With pressure from the concoction brewing in his trousers, Miti knocked furiously on the door almost cracking his knuckles but no one answered.

However, a neighbour emerged from her homestead and informed Miti that Catherine was not home but cultivating her maize field.

At the news of this, Miti turned around and ran to his wife’s field so that he could ask for relief from the building pressure.

Upon arrival, Miti fell to his feet and begged Catherine to take him back as his five-year stay alone was no longer bearable.

However, Catherine who was with her two children rejected Miti’s advances and warned him to stand up and leave as he stepping on her freshly planted groundnuts.

She reminded Miti how he had not supported his two children in the 5 years they had been apart and that his present attempt to reconcile was nothing but a selfish move to satisfy his earthly desires.

Even at this emphatic rejection, Miti kept on begging saying his containers of life-giving juice would explode and spoil his only remaining trousers.

But even this desperate plea was rejected by Catherine.

In frustration, Miti grabbed Catherine’s axe and with it struck her head open in full view of their two children sending rivers of blood flowing all over the groundnut field.

At the sound of the children’s wailing, people cultivating nearby fields rushed to rescue Catherine but the harm had already been done.

With no vehicle in sight to transfer Miti to police, the villagers merely grabbed sticks and whipped Miti sheparding him to the police cells where he currently resides and may be there for the rest of his life.

Eastern Province Commissioner of Police Geza Lungu has confirmed the gruesome murder as well as Miti’s arrest saying he will appear in court soon.

  1. I’m amazed, I have to admit. Seldom do I come across a blog that’s both educative and interesting, and without
a doubt, you’ve hit the nail on the head. The problem is
something which too few folks are speaking intelligently about.
Now i’m very happy I stumbled across this in my hunt for
    something relating to this.
