MATERO Local Court has heard how a Lusaka woman offered herself on a plate to a man she met online so that he could eat her up using every style he so pleased, all because she heard rumours that her husband was cheating on her.

The affair came to light when Daniel Kamanga, a teacher based in Kabwe, unexpectedly returned to his Lusaka home where his 36 year old wife Naomi Mwale lived.

While Mwale was absent, Kamanga discovered messages on her phone which could shock even Zesco and the devil combined.

Mwale hailing from Northmead was found to have engaged in an explicit online relationship with Mathews Mwelaisha from Kitwe where she gave herself up like living sacrifice, for her lover to devour.

The affair reportedly began within the Facebook group “CHIMBUSA: Bedroom and Relationship Issues,” where both individuals were members.

Initially, their interactions were described as casual conversations related to relationship topics, but it seemed Mwelaisha’s deep knowledge erecting pillars into womens’ foundations intrigued Mwale and led to an escalated sexually explicit exchange and a desire to meet.

“My wife was begging this man to have sex with her in every imaginable position, she told him she wanted him to penetrate her from behind, in front, and even in the mouth. I couldn’t believe my eyes when I read those messages. My wife was practically begging for him to use her body as he pleased,” Kamanga testified.

He added that he had previously suspected issues in their marriage, noting a change in his wife’s behaviour, including increased demands and a perceived lack of respect.

The plaintiff, Kamanga cited an instance where she insisted he washes dishes despite his being late for work among other behaviours.

Mwale did not deny the messages. She attempted to justify her actions by claiming she had heard rumors that her husband was involved in another relationship and had a child in Kabwe.

“I thought Kamanga was married in Kabwe because someone told me that he had another wife there. I was so hurt and angry that I turned to the internet for comfort. I didn’t want to believe that he would betray me like that, and I convinced myself that what I was doing was justified,” she asserted

Magistrate Lewis Mumba, in his ruling, emphasized the sanctity of marriage.

“When you enter into a marriage, you make a promise to stay faithful and committed to the person you love for the rest of your life. This is not a vow to be taken lightly,” he stated.

Magistrate Mumba granted the divorce, awarding custody of the two children to Mwale and ordered Kamanga to pay K1,000 in child support for the children.

The court also mandated an equal division of household goods between the parties and affirmed Kamanga’s right to access his children.

Additionally, the magistrate ordered Kamanga to provide K500 in maintenance to his former wife for a period of 12 months, opting for maintenance over compensation given the nature of the case.
