ALL around me, it feels like things are falling apart! One challenge after the other and you still feel the weight of social, economic and all other forms of weight in your spirit.

My car broke down on my way for work this morning and you cannot imagine the frustration and desperation running down my spine as time was running out while thinking of the next step. The description of my experience can be summarised as ‘things falling apart’.

Reflecting on how the last weeks have been, the said experience justified the perception of life being likened to ‘things falling apart’. One moment you convince yourself that some critical aspects in life have been sorted out, only to face another valley of despair.

At the time when the car could not move in a middle of the road, while feeling so desperate and helpless, a work mate stopped by to offer me a lift, just when I thought I was running really late.

That was a win just there!

The write up today is for someone who could be in a mirage of life’s experiences there by developing a perception that things were falling apart!

One of the introspections of life is that it is when ‘things seem to be out of shape or falling apart’ that you often experience some rare positive wins when you least expect.

Within many battles of life, there lies wins of life. I see them as little yet cardinal God’s miracles and faithfulness showing themselves in ways we do not perceive or realise.

These can be described as moments God often shows up in our situations as a reminder that regardless of our pain the one who mends our situations is ever present!

But for you to recognise God’s hidden finger or miracle, it is a choice you make. You can either remain blind to the small wins or miracles or you can recognise them as Gods own way of showing Himself up in your situation.

As I continued to reflect, I realise there is so much to remain grateful for in spite what life throws at us sometimes.

The fact that I had some lift offered for work when my car broke down by the roadside, when I least expected, that was a win and finger of God so undisputable. How about my feeling healthy and strong today than I was a few days ago? How about the privilege of being in employment and alive?

Count your blessings and name them one by one and see what God has done in your life.

In that pain and despair, look around, see and feel God’s presence. You can trust Him better as He is the saving man in your sinking boat, your companion in the den of lions and a fourth man in that fire!

Remember, ‘Had it not been the compassion of God we would have been consumed. The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases, they are new each morning, great is your faithfulness (Lamentations 3:22-23).

And that you can cry out and say,…‘In the morning Lord you hear my voice, in the morning I lay my request before you and I wait expectantly’ (Psalm 5:3).
