13 Kopala men in trouble for “losing manhoods”

THIRTEEN men on the Copperbelt have been arrested for falsely claiming their reproductive organs had mysteriously vanished.

According to ZNBC’s Hector Simfunkwe, those arrested are from Kitwe, Chingola, Mufulira and Chililabombwe.

In confirming the arrests, Police Division Chaplain for Copperbelt, Reverend Floyd Chinyanta, explained that all those who claimed to have lost their private parts were lying.

Reverend Chinyanta explained that physical and medical examinations on the claimants proved that their “assets” were intact and had never gone missing.

He warned that the Police on the Copperbelt would sternly deal with individuals spreading false information, warning that such actions fuel unnecessary panic and violence.

Reverend Chinyanta emphasized that it is wrong to attack innocent citizens based on suspicion and superstition.

On Friday, a mob in Kalumbila district in Northwestern Province attacked and eventually killed a 46-year old business woman after a 25-year old man falsely claimed she had stolen his manhood.

Police have since arrested the same man along with 16 others.

The attack of the woman in Kalumbila came days after a 61-year old man was attacked by mob in Chingola over false claims that he had stolen a manhood.
