Speaking to journalists at Football House in Lusaka yesterday, Grant said the team has made great progress and is now ready to end the campaign on a strong note.

The Israeli tactician said he was impressed with the performance the team showed in their last outing against Morocco, despite suffering a narrow defeat.

“We want to win these two games,” Grant said confidently.

“If we speak pure football, we are playing good, we are improving. It’s a process to put Zambia among the biggest in Africa.”

Grant revealed that his players have shown hunger and discipline as they prepare for two decisive encounters.

He noted that Tanzania will not be an easy opponent, especially at home, but expressed belief that Zambia’s quality and team spirit can deliver the desired results.

Zambia will take on Tanzania away in Zanzibar on October 8, before returning home to host Niger at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola on October 12.

The Chipolopolo are expected to depart for Zanzibar on Sunday ahead of Wednesday’s showdown at the refurbished 15,000-capacity Amaani Stadium, with kickoff set for 21:00 hours CAT.

Grant said the team’s mission is not just to win but to continue building a consistent and fearless Chipolopolo side that can once again command respect across Africa.
