15-year-old abandons studies to focus on romantic entanglement

RATHER than focusing on her academic pursuits, a 15-year-old girl of Namwala, Southern Province has been skipping classes and hopping into the bed of her 18 year old boyfriend for about three months.

During that period it is reported that the young man taught her girlfriend, the absentee pupil, some biological practicals on human reproductive organs and used his third leg to enter the ‘uncharted’ cave of pleasure.

However, their outside curricular activities did not stay as a secret for too long, proving that indeed, walls have eyes and ears which later landed them in hot lava.

The incident was brought to light yesterday, when the victim’s elder sister, a 33-year-old woman from Bakali Village in the Airstrip area gathered the courage to report the defilement to Namwala police station around 11:50 hours.

According to police, the 18-year-old boy allegedly defiled his 15-year-old girlfriend over a period stretching from April to July this year.

It was revealed that the victim’s prolonged absence from school and frequent tardiness were noted as recurring issues, with the girl reportedly returning home as late as 20:00 hours on multiple occasions.

Southern Province police deputy commanding officer Moono Namalongo revealed that the gravity of the situation became apparent when the girl’s 29-year-old brother, growing increasingly concerned about her behavior, conducted an investigation of his own.

Namalongo revealed that the victim’s brother inquired with her friends and discovered that she had been frequently spending time at the suspect’s house located in Chikwata village as they were both in a relationship.

Armed with this information, the victim’s brother and sister decided to pay a visit to the suspect’s residence the next day after the victim had claimed that she had gone to school.

However, upon reaching the house, they were shocked to discover their sister in a school uniform inside the suspect’s house, contrary to her claim.

Namalongo stated that acting quickly, the pair promptly escorted both the juvenile and the suspect to the Namwala Police Station.

The suspect was then arrested for defilement.

“A docket was opened and the suspect will appear in court soon,” Namalongo added.
