THE Zambia Revenue Authority (ZRA) celebrated its Taxpayer Appreciation Day at the luxurious Taj Pamodzi Hotel, recognising and honouring outstanding taxpayers for their exceptional compliance and contributions.
The event showcased a variety of awards across different categories, highlighting the integral role of taxpayers in the nation’s economic growth.
Accompanied by the sweet melodies of Mumba Yachi, different stakeholders gathered to witness ZRA appreciate its clients yesterday.
The ceremony acknowledged companies for their significant contributions in their respective segments.
Luibeko Investment Limited was awarded as the Highest Contributor Small Taxpayers, while Forli Limited received the accolade for Highest Contributor Medium Taxpayers.
The Highest Contributor Large Taxpayers award went to First Quantum Minerals (FQM ) Trident Limited, which also clinched the National Contributor Award (1st Prize).
In the Customs sector, AgroFuel Investment Limited was recognised as the Highest Contributor Customs.
Africa Supermarkets Limited earned the title of Most Compliant Importer, and Cargo Management and Logistics Limited was honoured as the Most Compliant Bonded House.
Hitachi Construction received the Authorised Economic Operator (AEO) award.
Other notable winners included Pro Africa Logistics Zambia as the Most Consistent & Compliant Agent (under Zambia Customs and Forwarding Agents Association (ZCFAA)), and SM Burhani Limited as the Most Consistent and Compliant Agent (under Zambia Freight Forwarders Association (ZAFFA)).
The award for Most Consistent & Compliant Agent (under Customs Clearing and Freight Forwarding Agents) was presented to Be Precious Investment Limited.
The ZRA also recognised top performers across various tax sectors.
Maamba Energies Limited was honoured as the Highest Contributor Consumption Taxes and Mulungushi International was recognised for Highest Contributor Tourism.
The Highest Contributor Mining award went to FQM Trident Limited, while Zambeef Products PLC was acknowledged for Highest Contributor Agriculture.
Hitachi Construction Machinery Zambia Company Ltd received the Highest Contributor Manufacturing award.
The Highest Contributor Real Estate award was presented to Primetime Property Holdings (Zambia) Limited, and Sandvik Mining and Construction Zambia Limited was named the Highest Contributor Wholesale.
Victoria Supplies Limited also earned recognition for Highest Contributor Turnover Tax (TOT).
The ZRA also celebrated top contributors from each province. Martin House Trust School Limited (Central ), Mary Begg Memorial Clinic (Copperbelt ). Microloan Foundation Zambia Limited received the award (Eastern) and Eazy Bake Limited was recognized in Luapula Province.
Emerald Bay was acknowledged for Lusaka Province, and Africa Automotive Analysis Limited in Muchinga Province while Miracle Fisheries Limited received the award for Northern Province.
Educore Services Zambia Limited for was awarded for North Western Province, Safari Park Excellence Zambia Limited for Southern Province, and Blue Light Distributors Limited for Western Province.
And recognition of technological adoption, Africa Feed Limited was awarded for Most Uptake of E-Certificates and Yango Deli Zambia Limited received the Smart Invoice Integration award.
The Best Collaborator award went to the Bankers Association of Zambia for their exemplary partnership with ZRA in various projects.
And for Individual awards, Christopher Findlay was honoured as the Highest Contributor – Individual – Rental Tax, while Moses Simukoko received the award for Highest Contributor – Individual – Presumptive Tax.
