Don’t just participate but bring glory, Nkulukusa urges newly promoted Central Province teams

CENTRAL is in jubilation and has applauded two Kabwe teams, Mines United and Prison Leopards’ promotion to the Super League.

The two teams were promoted from the National League to the Super League earning a pat on their backs by Central Province Minister Mwabashike Nkulukusa.

The promotion of the two teams brings the total number of Super League teams from Central Province to three, joining Kabwe Warriors.

“To the two teams from Central Province that have crossed over, we wish to congratulate you and we as your provincial administration are happy with your hard work, wishing you all the best as you play in the Super League.”

“Don’t just go to participate but bring more glory to Central province in general and Kabwe district in particular,” Nkulukusa said in a statement.

Nkulukusa also acknowledged the role of sponsors and called for more investment in the teams.

“To all the sponsors that have been rallying behind these teams, we appreciate your patriotism and your love for the sport of soccer,” he said.

“This is the right time to sponsor them and get your brand and the brand of Central Province exposed as these teams are now playing at a larger platform.”

The Provincial minister also emphasised the economic benefits of the teams’ promotion.

“The promotion of these teams will also increase economic activities in Central Province and Kabwe District in particular as the opponents during home games will need accommodation, food, transport and other social amenities contributing to the growth of the provincial economy,” he stated.

“We will keep supporting you and we can’t wait for the next season to already begin so that we can see you in action and watch more games within the Province,” said the minister.
