F.C. MUZA forward Andrew Phiri, also known as “Borex” by his teammates, has chosen to share his K15,000 Man of the Match award money with the entire team.

Phiri’s selfless act comes after his heroic performance secured a crucial goal and a semi-final berth for the “Elegant Dynamites” in the 2024 ABSA Cup.

Phiri believed the team’s success was a collective effort, and sharing the award money reflected this sentiment.

“F.C. Muza’s qualification is a testament to teamwork,” Phiri said during a post-match interview. “This award is for the entire team.”

The forward’s impressive goal against Power Dynamos on Saturday propelled F.C. Muza past their opponents and into the next round, where they will face Kabwe Warriors.

Phiri has been on fire this season, contributing a significant 14 goals across all competitions, including 10 in the league.
