NDC president Chishimba Kambwili turns 51 years old today.
He was first elected to parliament in 2006 after wining the Roan Constituency seat under the PF ticket.

He went on to be voted two as PF Roan Constituency member of parliament in 2011 and 2016.

After differing with his ruling party friends, Kambwili was uprooted from parliament last year following his expulsion from the PF.

His NDC won the subsequent by-election shaming the ruling party.

During his time in the PF, Kambwili held various ministerial positions including, minister of sports, minister of foreign affairs as well as minister of information.

President Lungu fired Kambwili unexpectedly in 2017.

Born and raised in the Copperbelt in the mining town of Luanshya, the NDC leader is married to Carol whom he has 5 children with.

To some Zambians, he is a voice of the voiceless but to the ruling party is a thorn in their flesh.
