A LOVE triangle in Southern Province has left a 32 year old woman violated after her ex-boyfriend assaulted her and caused her current boyfriend to run for his life.
The incident happened in Neganega town on Sunday.
The survivor was raped and assaulted by her former boyfriend Gift Mulyata, who badged into her house during the night while she was with her current boyfriend.
According to reports, prior to the incident, the woman had gone to attend an evening crusade of the Seventh Day Adventist Church with her boyfriend near Neganega market were they left around 20:00 hours.
After consuming the Three Angels message, the couple decided to go to the survivor’s home around 23:00 hours.
But whilst the couple was in bed, trying to utilise the early October rains, the lady’s former boyfriend, Gift Mulyata came unannounced allegedly broke in her after bashing the door and entered her bedroom.
His eyes landed on the couple in bed, and he ordered his rival to leave the house immediately, but trying to prove that he was a man to his girlfriend, the man resisted
But this only made Mulyata more angry as he started beating him and grabbed his two phones.
Later the new soulmate ran away after receiving some memory damaging punches, leaving his ‘rib’ behind.
After she remained alone, Mulyata then started to beat the survivor for leaving him.
And after the assault, he decided to continue were his friend ended from and forced himself on her and ran away.
The survivor later reported the matter to Chikankata Police Station were a medical report was issued for her to attain medical services.
Southern Province police commanding officer Auxensio Daka confirmed the incident.
“A man hunt has been set to find the suspect as police are yet to arrest him,” said Daka.
