WITH the freezing June adding on her temper, a woman of Mupena area in Mufulira township on the Copperbelt has burnt the house of her co-wife to ashes while the rival was sleeping with their husband inside.

The incident occurred on Monday this week.

According to reports, Annie Ngosa, had an argument with her polygamous husband earlier before the fire incident occurred.

Upset with Ngosa, the man caught in the love triangle decided to spend the night at this other wife’s house Chibulu Mutoni, 52, leaving Ngosa sleeping in her house as single as an atom with no molecular bonding.

But this did not sit well with Ngosa who could not contain her jealousy. She tried sleeping alone for a few hours, but at 01:00 hours she finally woke up and refused to just cuddle with the pillow in this winter.

She went to her co-wife’s house which was just a few meters away and performed an unsubscribed Mpali performance as she began shouting at the couple who were comfortably cozy in the house, using body to body heat transfer.

Copperbelt outgoing police commanding officer, Peacewell Mweemba who confirmed the incident said after the shouting, Ngosa observed that there was a brazier with fire that they left outside the house.

“In the process, she got a brazier which was left outside and set the house ablaze while saying, ‘Since you are having my husband with you, you will burn together inside the house’,” said Mweemba.

Upon hearing the death threats which were proved with the presence of smoke in the house, the romancing couple quickly ran outside the house to save their souls and there, they found Ngosa standing like WWE wrestler Undertaker.

Mweemba added that Mutoni, then ran to the police and reported that her house had been burnt to ashes and properties valued at K7,800 destroyed by her co-wife.

“The suspect ran away and police are making efforts to apprehend her,” said Mweemba.
