A 23 year old woman of Luangwa district in Lusaka Province has been attacked and killed by a crocodile, as she was fishing in Kakalo stream.
Details are that on the material date, Evelyn Tembo of Siawafumbi village got her fishing net and bucket, and headed to Kakalo stream
Unawares of her fate, and in the company of others who were all clueless of the existence of a crocodile in the stream, Evelyn started her fishing expedition.
Before she could catch any fish, Evelyn was caught by a crocodile.
Upon noticing what had transpired, some members of the community launched a search for the crocodile.
The grieving villagers hunted for the reptile until it was found and killed, the very day around 23:00 hours.
They ripped open its belly and found some body parts of the deceased.
Police was later alerted and the remains were scheduled to be carried yesterday.
Zambia Police deputy spokesperson Danny Mwale confirmed the incident.
