FOR a year and some months, 62-year-old Helen Moyo has never known sleep.
This is because of the health condition she has had since 2013. Ms Moyo is asthmatic.
On an unknown date but in 2013, she struggled to breathe and that was the beginning of the painful journey she has walked to date.A mother of five, Ms Moyo describes her condition as unbearable.
This is because everywhere she goes she has to move with an oxygen concentrator from which tubes are attached to transfer oxygen through her nostrils.
As if this is not enough, the condition also demands that she maintains an upright position day and night.
“At times, I wish I can just die than going through this kind of suffering. I have never laid down to rest. I have to sit in an upright position because of the pain which I go through. For a year and some months I just sit without sleeping, it is painful,” she said.
Mr Moyo’s prayer is for well-wishers to come on board and help him and his wife with an invertor and solar system to preserve his wife’s life because her survival depends on the machine.
