A SIX-YEAR-OLD boy of Sipulila Village in Choma District has died after an Ox-cart he was riding on overturned.
According to police spokesperson Esther Mwaata Katongo, Prosper Mudenda with two other children aged five and six respectively were on the cart drawn by oxen when the animals went wild, hit into a log and caused it to overturn.
Following the accident, Mudenda fell off the cart landing on his head and died on the spot.
The other two children survived the accident unscarred.
Katongo said the mishap happened on Tuesday around 15:00 hours in Sipulila village.
“The victim died on the spot while the other two escaped unhurt. The body of the deceased has been buried and the grave has been marked,” Katongo stated.
