Chansa dismissed rumors of a romantic involvement between herself and Aqualaskin, asserting that their bond is one of brotherly love, not romantic in nature.

On March 20, 2025, Chansa took to social media to celebrate the birthday of ‘Topola King’ Aqualaskin with a heartwarming post.

The video, which showed the pair cuddled up closely together, seemingly lost in each other’s company as they vibed to Aquala skin’s song, “Tuntu,” was accompanied by a caption that read: “Definitely one of my favorite people in the world! Happy birthday my King.”

However, this personal and intimate post immediately ignited speculation among fans and followers about the true nature of their relationship especially Chansa’s male fans who went wild, seemingly heartbroken and suggested that there was more to their interactions than just being industry besties.

The speculation surrounding their relationship was further exacerbated when Chansa shared yet another intimate video featuring the two vibing together, this time, accompanied by a caption that seemed to challenge critics of their closeness: “Let them talk…”

The defiant message, followed by a video of the pair effortlessly grooving to one of Chansa’s tracks, “I don’t pay them attention, it’s too expensive,” only added fuel to the fire of public curiosity.

But Chansa clarified that when she refers to Aqualaskin as her king, she is merely expressing her appreciation for his pure intentions towards her growth as an artiste and as a person.

“We are comfortable around each other because we are simply close friends and nothing more as our relationship is only based on mutual respect and admiration,” Chansa asserted.

“Aqua is my guy, we just have fun together, he has his fair share of drama but it’s not staged, that’s just his life. When we hang out, he tells me that I’m such a breath of fresh air. I’m focused, I’m peaceful, and I’m in good company. He can just be himself around me and we joke around.”

She noted that it is also pretty entertaining to mess with people’s expectations sometimes because they never see it coming.

“We know the rumors will fly when we post stuff together but we are just having fun with it. People will think whatever they want to think, and that’s okay. It’s just our way of keeping things light and entertaining,” she said.

The artiste went on to shed light on her approach to her romantic life, explaining that she keeps that aspect of her life private.

“As someone who has been in the entertainment industry for a while now, I have learned that it’s important to keep my personal relationships private, I have dated people since the beginning of my career, but you wouldn’t know because I don’t post about it.”

“I don’t like to showcase my relationships on social media because that would give people the opportunity to interfere or have opinions on my private life.”

She went on to recall how even in her relationships with people who were not public figures, external influences had caused significant strife in their relationship.

“I am the famous one here, the celebrity, so you don’t get to intrude on my personal life unless I invite you to,” Chansa said on Monday, while featuring on Power TV’s ‘Zaye Zahala’ programe.
