Albert Lungu was among the 125 other ambitious young Zambians, who flipped a new chapter of their lives, thanks to the government’s strategic focus on skills development through CDF.
These graduates now possess the tools and knowledge to carve out their own futures and know where to start from as they navigate life.
Lungu said government’s commitment in empowering youths through education and professional training has opened doors for a lot of people.
He said the skills have given most youths a starting point, which is a gate way to a brighter future.
“We are so delighted and grateful for this achievement..”
“We thank Jabulani Training center for their tireless efforts, for providing us a conducive learning environment and practical tools we needed to succeed, you have taught us not just the indoor skills like information technology but also discipline, confidentiality and importance of learning technology in a modern world,” he said.
Lungu said they are ready to step out and contribute to the community and the country at large.
“As an IT graduate, we are stepping out into the digital world with skills. We promise that we will not only be job hunters but also problem solvers, innovators and digital ambassadors. We are ready to contribute to our community, thanks to CDF,” he said.
In an interview with Kalemba, Lungu shared that he completed grade 12 in 2023 and decided to apply for CDF sponsorship at Katete Town Council and he was picked.
“After I applied, they picked us and we were taken to Ndola on the Copperbelt at Jabulani skills training center where I studied information and technology. They also have different courses like tailoring, entrepreneurship and agriculture,” he said.
Lungu told Kalemba that the skills have changed their lives because they never knew where to start from as youths.
“We are now changed young men, and we shall put our skills to good use,” said Lungu.
