EXACTLY a month after the demise of 32 year old Mkushi philanthropist Dora Nyambe, President Hakainde Hichilema decided to fulfill Nyambe’s last wish of buying a bus for her school.
The philanthropist who died on Christmas Day last year after a short illness was a woman who dedicated her life to saving over 500 vulnerable children, not just from the streets but from a life of illiteracy with her School, Footprints of Hope.
Her wish before her death as evidenced from a TikTok video was to buy a bus for her school which President Hichilema has delivered.
The Head of State’s Finance and Investments advisor Jito Kayumba, delivered a message on behalf of the President that gave hope to the children and the school staff at large.
Kayumba stated that President Hichilema would continue his support towards Nyambe’s dream by ensuring that the school doesn’t shut down because of financial constraints.
President Hichilema did not only deliver a bus but also donated food such as bags of mealie meal, cooking oil, among other food stuffs and toiletries.
