THE Ministry of Labour and Social Security has warned the public to stay alert after false job adverts claiming vacancies at the Ministry began circulating online.
Ministry principal public relations officer Mwaka Ndawa emphasised that no hiring exercise is underway and any online posts suggesting otherwise are entirely fraudulent.
Ndawa stressed that all genuine government job opportunities are announced through Public Management Division, the Civil Service Commission and the Ministry’s verified channels.
“All adverts circulating currently are fake and ought to be disregarded. We have not issued any recruitment notice,” she said.
She warned that that falling for these fake adverts could cost more than money, it could put personal safety at risk.
“We advise the public to verify any information related to employment opportunities directly through our official communication channels before responding to any job advert,” said Ndawa.
