Simon Mwila among 13 sworn in as Notaries Public

LUSAKA lawyer Simon Mwila has been sworn in as a Notary Public, joining 12 other legal practitioners appointed in a ceremony presided over by the Registrar of the High Court (Chambers), Sangwani Nyimbiri.

Mwila, an advocate of the High Court and Superior Courts, described the milestone as a result of faith, sacrifice and resilience.

He holds a Master of Laws in Commercial Law, a Master of Business Administration and is currently a Doctor of Business Administration candidate.

The Judiciary of Zambia said the appointments were made pursuant to Section 3(1) of the Notaries Public and Notarial Functions Act, Chapter 35 of the Laws of Zambia.

Addressing the group, Nyimbiri stated that the office of Notary Public is both ancient and vital noting that notaries act as impartial witnesses, protect against fraud and serve as trusted figures in legal and commercial transactions.

Mwila was sworn in alongside Bibiyana Jane Bulaya, Nyuma Kapampa, Bwalya Chilufya Musonda, Patuma Nyangu, Precious Tembo, Limose Tembo, Veronica Malita Oputa, Lily Mite Brown, Nikombe Chabulembwa Chilufya, Nomankhosi Jere, Precious Kunda, and Micheal Ngonga.
