Zambians miss us – Nakacinda

PF secretary general Raphael Nakacinda says the Zambian people deeply miss his party’s administration as they are yearning for its return, claiming widespread public dissatisfaction with the current Government.

Nakacinda said that the slogan ‘Alebwelelapo’ is resonating strongly with citizens who feel let down by the UPND.

He argued that the PF’s policy direction, which was laid out in its 2021-2026 manifesto, remains relevant and better to the country’s current challenges than UPND’s governing approach, despite it being rejected.

Nakacinda was speaking last evening when he appeared on Diamond TV’s ‘COSTA’ programme.

He criticised government, accusing it of betraying voters through unfulfilled promises and poor leadership..

“The current government made attractive promises, but those promises have translated into frustration, especially among the youth. We have seen rising unemployment, distorted education reforms, and missed opportunities for development,” he said.

“The people of Zambia miss the PF. They relate to our message and are beginning to realise that what we presented to them made more sense than what they are experiencing now.”

Nakacinda also revealed that the PF is in the process of updating its 2021 to 2026 rejected manifesto to address emerging national issues while remaining focused on long term development goals.

“We are not discarding our manifesto but we are adopting it. We are reviewing and aligning it with the realities on the ground so that it can offer real solutions to today’s challenges,” he explained.

He stated that the party’s focus is not just on criticism but on presenting practical alternatives.

Nakacinda added that the PF is preparing four policies that respond to the aspirations of young people which will address unemployment, education, innovation and entrepreneurship.

He urged citizens to remain vigilant and engaged, calling for unity among opposition forces and support from the public.
