Liswaniso said it was unfortunate that some political players were glorifying acts of lawlessness instead of supporting President Hakainde Hichilema’s efforts to help victims of the Chiwempala market fire.

“The lack of morals is evident when some individuals celebrate unruly behavior simply to gain political advantage, despite the President’s gesture to assist genuine victims affected by the market fire,” he said.

He questioned whether those celebrating chaos had any compassion for families who lost their livelihoods in the fire.

“Who would have compensated the widow who lost her entire capital if the President had not courageously allocated K10 million to help the affected traders?” he asked.

Liswaniso emphasised that discipline and dialogue must guide national progress, not disorder or provocation.

He said it was disappointing to see individuals championing lawlessness while claiming they could lead the country.

“Our focus should be on improving the lives of our citizens. If there are issues, let’s engage respectfully and find solutions not destroy the country to please unruly groups,” he stated.

He further thanked President Hichilema for his compassion and swift action, describing the K10 million donation as a demonstration of true leadership and love for the Zambian people.

“Thank you, Mr. President, for standing with the vulnerable and showing that leadership means service. Your gesture has reminded the nation what responsible governance looks like,” Liswaniso said.

On the issue of Senseli Mine, he added that the President was fully aware of the situation and that decisions were being made to protect both workers and surrounding communities.

“The government is acting responsibly to ensure that mining operations are safe, fair, and sustainable for all,” he assured.

Liswaniso further urged all citizens, especially the youth, to choose peace, discipline, and respect over political confrontation.
