NEWLY appointed Socialist Party (SP) mobilisation co-ordinator for Luapula province Thomson Nswima has warned former SP mobilisation secretary Kelvin Kaunda to stay away from Dr Fred Membe and the party.
On Saturday, M’membe fired Kaunda from his position as party mobilisation secretary.
Nswima said Kaunda decided to hijack the party when he does not even qualify to be a councilor.
“You just came from nowhere and decide to take over the party when you don’t even know how hard we are working to move the party forward,” said Nswima.
“Just because you have some change (money) you think you can take over the party. God does not chose who to give wealthy, you don’t even qualify to be a member of parliament or a councilor then you want to take over the party where on earth? Dr Membe brought you close to him but you decided to go behind and try to hijack the party, may God forgive you.”
He stated that the people of Luapula do not even know Kaunda as a member of the Socialist party.
He blamed some members of the party who attended Kaunda’s meeting, charging that if he attended the meeting too then he would have been proving that he was a mad person.
Nswima alleged that the people who attended the meeting even failed to sing the national anthem adding that SP agenda is to improve the lives of the Zambian people and it remained united with Dr Membe as its leader.
Nswima said Dr Membe does not make promises like other leader but that he is determined to improve the lives of Zambians.
He said once in power,the SP will ensure that electricity is prioritised domestically then export second.
