This follows the release of a list comprising the alliance’s new council of leaders that were reportedly sanctioned by former president Edgar Lungu.
The list, according to Tembo and Zumani Zimba comprises Lubinda and his best friend Nakacinda.
Last Tuesday, the PeP leader and his camp failed to hold what was described as an illegal Tonse Alliance council of leaders meeting after some PF cadres, allegedly sent by Lubinda and his team, disrupted it.
Hours after the disruption, Tembo, alongside Zimba and other notable figures such as Mumbi Phiri, Brian Mundubile and Kelvin Bwalya Fube, held a press briefing where they announced a new council of leaders — allegedly sanctioned by Lungu.
Lubinda, however, rubbished the said list, stating that anything coming from Sean Tembo and his camp should be taken as zero instructions and guidance.
In a statement, Tembo reminded the newly announced leaders to show up at the meeting without fail.
He said the meeting would be held in the morning and the specific time and venue would be communicated individually.
“The meeting shall deliberate on the agenda items that were not attended to in the previous meeting, due to a disruption of that meeting by unknown individuals,” said Tembo.
“New members of the Tonse Alliance council of leaders, as per announced expanded Council, are required to attend without fail, so as to undertake an affirmation of oath of office to their respective appointed positions within the Tonse Alliance.”
