In an interview with Kalemba, Imboela stated that the ruling party’s performance over the past four years has been disappointing.

She explained that the only two reasons the party even managed to get a score from her were the free education policy and the reduced levels of cadreism.

“The last four years have been very disappointing. I’m not impressed with the health sector, I’m not impressed with the economic sector, I’m not impressed with everything, I’m not even impressed with the way that they are handling issues with the way the country is relating with each. They are so intolerant,” she said.

“Out of 10, I would give them a two, really. In the education sector. I commend them in fact that two which I have given them a whole one goes because they declared the free education. For me I believe the way we can develop as a world is through education.”

The opposition leader also suggested that the free education policy, currently from Grade One to Grade 12, must be extended to university level.

“After declaring free education, the government should have increased funding to the education sector,” explained Imboela.
