Police say an inquiry file has been opened at Lusaka Central Police Station following a report lodged by Fube, 50, who claims Chabinga threatened to deal with Mwamba and Sishuwa.
According to the report, the alleged threats were made during a Kalemba live online broadcast on Monday around 10:00 hours.
Fube said Chabinga’s comments were directed at Mwamba and Sishuwa over what he termed as damaging articles circulated about him.
Police spokesperson Rae Hamoonga has confirmed the development.
“Hon. Robert Chabinga will be summoned to assist with investigations as part of the ongoing inquiry.”
The police, however, have urged all parties to stay calm and let the law take its natural course, promising that no political label will shield anyone from accountability.
