The lawmaker was unfortunately branded by his constituents as a parliamentarian who pulled a Pamela Gondwe act immediately the last campaign song was played in 2021.

Mulenga had since wondered how the very people that voted for him could claim not to know him.

Facebook went Gaga with memes and questions about how an MP would be denied by his own people if at all he was on the ground.

However, a day after being booed, Mulenga said the denial and booing were as a result of efforts by his enemies in both the ruling party and opposition aimed at embarrassing him in the presence of the President.

He claimed that those who said they did not know him during a church service in the presence of President Hakainde Hichilema were sent and paid by his opponents.

He stated that the whole act was planned, claiming that he was more popular than Nshima and Tbone at a Matebeto restaurant.

He challenged those who insisted that he was unpopular in his own constituency to go on the ground in Kwacha and find out for themselves how popular he really is.

He also described himself as one of the best performing MPs in the country.

He claimed that investigations had been carried out on the same matter and it was proved that the moment wss a paid for stance orchestrated by his fellow UPND leaders and some opposition members.
