A Zambia National Service lady Officer and two Servicewomen were part of the thousands of members of the global military family that took part in the grand and colourful ceremonial procession of King Charles III’s coronation on Saturday in Westminster Abbey, England.
Lt Idah Liwyali, Ssgt Silvia Kanyembo and Sgt Jesinala Banda formed part of the 400 marching party from Commonwealth nations.
The trio were among the ten Zambia Defence Force representatives.
The new King of England ascended to the throne after the death of his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, in September last year.
