As tributes continued to pour in, her children remembered her as a woman whose impact reached far beyond the screen.
Speaking on behalf of her siblings, Wanga’s daughter Natasha Mutale said that while the world recognised her as mai guru, to them, she was a quiet force, a strong nurturing presence at the center of their family.
Natasha said their mother made everyone feel valued and cared for, and she paid attention to their worries, regardless of their size.
“Mami, you told us resilience not through words but examples. You showed us the meaning of hard work, unwavering passion and facing challenges with grace and strength,” she said in a tribute.

“You taught us that success is not just about reaching the top, but about staying true to yourself throughout the journey.”
She said their mother celebrated their successes as if they were her own, always offering support and love.
Wanga also taught her children that family isn’t just about blood, it’s about the people they choose to stand by.
“Thank you for every minute you spent worrying about us, for your stories, your songs, your laughter, and your tears. We will carry you with us in everything we do. We find comfort knowing your legacy lives on, and we promise to honor you always,” she added.
For Wanga’s husband, Daniel Mutale, this moment has been described as the most difficult time of his life, something he never imagined.
In a tribute read by his brother Kenneth Mutale, Daniel expressed that seeing his wife in a casket is heartbreaking, but he accepts it as God’s will and chooses to submit to his plan.
“When I married you, I didn’t fully understand the woman I was marrying. Over the years, I realised I was the luckiest man because I found a woman whose impact was both trustworthy and supportive,” he recalled.
“You were a woman of noble character and your passing is the greatest loss to my life. Even with your busy schedule, you never lost touch with me and the children.”
He said Wanga was always there to lift him up when he was feeling low but now, it’s hard for him to accept, because all their plans and dreams have been broken.
“I know what you wanted, and I will carry on from where you left off. I will miss you deeply. Farewell, my wife, my friend, my hope, amai Mutale,”
