A 16 year old boy of Chingolas Solwezi road has appeared in the Kitwe high court for stock theft.

In this matter, the juvenile together with Oliver Sibupiwa is appearing before judge Enias Chulu for stock theft involving six cattle.
It is alleged that on 24th October 2024, the two while acting together with a third person who is on the run did steal six herd of cattle.
When the matter came up for trial, a security guard at Ngose River ranch Wellington Mwila told the court that while on duty around 21 to 22 hours, he saw three people commanding the animals to move.
Mwila explained that within the ranch, people pass through from nearby villages and that tresspasers are charged when exiting the gate.
He told the court that since the three did not have money, the guard confiscated a phone from one of them, identified as Joseph who promised to pay the passing fee once they returned from Mushindamo to sell the animals.
Mwila further explained that the following day, some people together with a police officer approached him inquring about the names.
He disclosed to them that two men and a boy passed in the ranch with six herds of cattle.
Mwila, later on 27 October 2024 spotted the three on a motorbike which they booked and it was at this moment that he informed the rider of the motorbike that his passengers were wanted for stealing cattle.
One of the accused only identified as Joseph managed to escape while Sibupiwa and the juvenile where apprehended and later taken to police.
Judge Chulu adjourned the matter to 31 July 2025 for continuation of trial.
