A SHAMELESS man from Sinda, Eastern Province has turned his back on decency and decided to prey on three innocent minors, rubbing his manhood on their private parts.
The three children, aged 6, 7 and 8, were peacefully playing when Sitiwe Banda lured them to a Pentecostal church, where he committed an unthinkable act against their innocence.
The incident is believed to have occurred on Thursday between 12:00 hours and 18:00 hours at a Pentecostal Church in Mwase Village of Chief Kawaza in Sinda District.
According to authorities, on the fateful day, the children had vanished at an unknown time during the afternoon.
At approximately 16:30 hours while at home, Dorothy Mwale, mother to one of the girls received alarming information from a young girl and her friends, stating that they had seen her daughter and nieces at a Pentecostal church in the company of a male adult.
The children reportedly stated that they did not know what the man was doing with them, as they were in a secluded location.
It was at that moment Mwale decided to inform Grace Phiri, a 23-year-old woman and mother to one of the survivors, and together they rushed to the Pentecostal church.
Upon arrival, they found the three children.
Two of the children fled in fear, while the third remained behind, standing just steps away from the suspect, who was reportedly caught in the act of zipping up his trousers.
Upon noticing the parents, assailant fled the scene.
Eastern Province police commanding officer Robertson Mweemba revealed that the three children were later interviewed by their parents and disclosed that they were undressed by the perpetrator who was comfortably rubbing his manhood on their private parts.
“The parents immediately took the three minors to Chitawe Clinic where they were attended to however, the police upon receipt of the report rushed to scene and managed to find and interview the three children,” he said.
“The children separately narrated the ordeal and revealed that the perpetrator told them that he was going to buy sweets or give them K10 each but before he could buy for them he needed to have carnal knowledge of them by starting with the eldest up to the youngest child.”
Mweemba said the victims’ parents were then advised to report the matter to Sinda Police Station, where they were issued medical report forms to facilitate further medical examinations and determine whether the children had been defiled.
“A docket of case has been opened, and police have launched a manhunt for Banda, who is currently on the run.” added Mweemba.
