According to police spokesperson Rae Hamoonga, Kasengele was caught by workers at Munyama Farms on August 16.

The workers allegedly found him with a concealed bottle containing a suspected chemical and detained him.

Kasengele reportedly confessed that unknown individuals had hired him to pour acid on Zaloumis, a farmer at Munyama Farms.

After being taken to the Kabwe Central Police Station, Kasengele complained of body pains and was rushed to the hospital for treatment.

He died in the early hours of the following morning.

His body is currently at the Kabwe Central Hospital Mortuary, where it awaits a post-mortem to determine the exact cause of death.
