POLICE on the Copperbelt are currently pursuing a DJ only identified as “Howard”, who kicked a woman in a night club leading to her death in Kamuchanga Township, Mufulira.

29-year-old Obette Pandwe died early Saturday morning after allegedly being kicked in the stomach by the DJ at Dankar Night Club.
According to Copperbelt police commissioner Pathias Siadenge, who confirmed the incident, Pandwe was socialising with friends at the nightclub when she approached Howard, who was on duty as a DJ.
He said Howard then allegedly kicked Pandwe in the stomach, causing her to fall to the ground “for no apparent reason.”
Friends of the deceased assisted her to a chair, but when her condition appeared to worsen, the nightclub owner provided transport to the hospital for medical attention.
Sadly, she was pronounced dead upon arrival at Kamuchanga District Hospital following the incident, which occurred around 02:00 hours on July 13, 2025.
Pandwe’s body has been deposited in the Kamuchanga District Hospital mortuary, awaiting a postmortem examination.
