Among this year’s graduates, six are PhD holders, the first in the university’s history, marking a historic achievement for the University’s research capacity and academic growth.

Speaking at a colourful graduation ceremony in Kabwe, Vice Chancellor Professor Royson Mukwena explained that the milestone shows the growing confidence students and society have placed in the institution’s academic programs.

Professor Mukwena said the government’s continuous support through scholarships and meal allowances had made it possible for most of the students to access higher education.

The Vice Chancellor showered graduates with praises for withstanding challenges such as load shedding, poor internet connectivity, limited hostel space and financial hardships.

“As ambassadors of Mulungushi University, uphold integrity, professionalism and excellence wherever you go,” he urged.

This year’s Mulungushi University graduation ceremony was held under the theme: “Lifelong Learning: Self-Improvement Through Skills Enhancement Post-Graduation.”
