Bertha Chisomo, 37, sued her 54 year old neighbour, Audrey Zulu for marinating her in a bowl of insults the day she complained to the landlord of Zulu’s habit of playing loud music at the mudadada (semi-detached house) during the hours God created for resting.

Chisomo told the court that last Saturday, 54 year old Zulu played some jealous and lwambo songs by Yo Maps including some Chilanga Mulilo and real life teachings’ songs by Chile One loudly, at the ungodly hour of 22 while the neighbours were asleep.

This did not sit well with Chisomo’s husband who decided to call the landlord to complain, after attempts of talking to Zulu failed.

When the morning came, the owner of the mudadada called for a meeting with the tenants and asked the loud music playing woman to explain her story.

However, instead of using her mouth to explain herself, Zulu used it to soak Chisomo in a Kanyama flood of unpalatable language, including calling her ‘big bums’ for what her mama gave her.

Chisomo lamented to the court that Zulu plays loud music almost every day at their mudadada and does not even consider time.

“She insulted us because we asked her to reduce the music and complained to the landlord and said she had the right to play music anytime since she pays rent,” narrated Chisomo.

The complainant further presented a video of the insultious woman as she was unleashing some deafening mouth diarrhea on the neighbours.

In her defence, Zulu denied claims of playing loud music everyday against the will of her neighbours, stating that the one time she played it was when her family was celebrating a birthday.

She however, stated that since she was able to pay rent, she didn’t find anything wrong with being as comfortable as playing loud music in her own house.

She denied ever insulting Chisomo, saying that the insults the neighbours might have heard were directed at her own mother and husband.

“Why does Chisomo think I was insulting her? I was shouting at my husband and insulting my mother. I didn’t mention her name,”
she said.

In her judgment, magistrate Harriet Mbewe ordered Zulu to pay Chisomo K2,500 in compensation for the insults.

Real Times reports that Mbewe lectured the queen of insults that playing loud music without a police permit was wrong.
