POLICE have once again warned against the sharing of porno videos online, this time particularly addressing those who are fond of bragging on comment sections that they have the videos.

Police spokesperson Rae Hamoonga stated that those who publicly reveal that they have the videos should not be surprised they are visited by the police.
Hamoonga added that even the ones sharing numbers online and asking people to send the explicit videos are also committing a crime.
“Production, possession and distribution, you commit the same offence as the person who actually produced it as well. We urge members of the public that if you are possessing, if you are producing or if you are distributing, you are committing the same offence. That’s what the law states,” he emphasised.
“So even those asking for those videos, the one offering to distribute, is also committing the same offence, so don’t be surprised if we visit you. Because you are actually confessing that you are possessing the video, so we are saying if you posses and distribute, you are committing the same offence.”
He also shared that even the ones who might have produced adult content outside Zambia and their content is now being shared in the country risk being arrested.
“To those producing, they face five years imprisonment with a fine of K6,000 to K30,000 or both. If you produce pornographic content outside the country and you come to our country possessing them, it’s still a crime,” he said.
