IT all went down at the seventh DKMF, from electric performances, nostalgic sing alongs from legendary artiste like JK, Ty 2, K’Millian, Hamooba, General Ozzy, among others.

The event also unpacked surprises such as Danny Kaya’s son Zangi, showing off his musical skills on the keyboard as well as MC Wabwino’s outfit during his performance – which triggered a frenzy online and gave keyboard warriors a job to exercise their fingers.

Known for his energetic stage presence and a unique blend of music and comedy, MC Wabwino, whose real name is Mkunsha Chembe stole the spotlight at the concert with a bold fashion choice that left fans both stunned and inspired.

Dressed in a stunning black crop top, with a see through shirt covering it, the energetic performer sent social media into a frenzy, with many drawing fun comparisons to renowned pop stars who are also known for challenging fashion norms on stage.

But what many assumed was a bold fashion choice was actually the result of an unexpected wardrobe malfunction.

Addressing these concerns on his Facebook page, MC Wabwino did not shy away from telling his real story.

According to him, it seemed his stylish potbelly had other plans as it decided to stage a mini wardrobe malfunction, revealing ‘tender’ one pack to the world.

He noted referencing to tribal cousinship that some lovely bemba ladies were clearly impressed but they chose to express their admiration through cyber bullying.

“I know what you are thinking – ‘Why the crop top?’ Well, let’s just say in the East where I proudly come from, dancing shirtless is practically a traditional prerequisite. But I guess my Potbelly friend decided to take it up a notch with a half-shirt reveal,” he wrote.

“My friend Mwila from the ‘Shirtless Boys’ was completely shirtless and his Ngoni lady fans were… well, let’s just say they were ‘ziiiiing’ with excitement (picture the scene, no sound needed). I guess when it comes to artistic expression, we have got to push boundaries, right? Nyau ni Nyau indeed!”

He continued to joke about his wardrobe issue, asking if he impressed the audience or just showed off his shirt.

Despite the controversy, he stated that he remains an obedient servant in the music arena.

MC further claimed that he’s still rocking the stage, loyal to the game and coming prepared next time with extra safety pins in his back pocket.
